Clean Sails is a small family business, started in 1984.  We are located on Bainbridge Island, Washington, 10 miles West of Seattle, in Puget Sound.  

 

The founder, Dick Whitson, lived on a boat with dirty sails and developed a safe, effective method of cleaning.  

 

Clean Sails has been cleaning sails for sailors from Alaska to Hawaii to New York, the South, and California for 33 years.  

 

We clean each sail individually, not in a large washing machine with a load of other sails, as some cleaners do. 

 

We have developed quite a following with sailors and sailmakers alike!  

 

Our motto is “expect a miracle”.
